The crisis seen by teenagers

By Timotei Savu Denis

Nowadays everybody is talking about the crisis that began two years ago but why do we not ask teenagers what they think about it? I know that a lot of you think that the teenagers have a good life because their parents look after them, but they are the future of this society and they will run the world in the future. As I am a teenager I will try to answer this question, giving my reasons.

The number of people without a job is very alarming because more than 40% of Spaniards are unemployed and they must earn their living. I think that if things continue like this, we teenagers will have problems when it comes to searching for a good job because employers will demand more qualifications and teenagers who do not study now will have great problems in finding work.

There is a great deal of controversy about who started this crisis, but I think that WE started this crisis, because we did not hold back in our wishes to own things in a consumer society and we borrowed money from the banks to obtain them. I can say that here, in Barcelona, the crisis is no worse than in other cities in Spain. I know this because I have lived in Comunitat Valenciana.
