The crisis seen by teenagers

By Timotei Savu Denis

Nowadays everybody is talking about the crisis that began two years ago but why do we not ask teenagers what they think about it? I know that a lot of you think that the teenagers have a good life because their parents look after them, but they are the future of this society and they will run the world in the future. As I am a teenager I will try to answer this question, giving my reasons.

The number of people without a job is very alarming because more than 40% of Spaniards are unemployed and they must earn their living. I think that if things continue like this, we teenagers will have problems when it comes to searching for a good job because employers will demand more qualifications and teenagers who do not study now will have great problems in finding work.

There is a great deal of controversy about who started this crisis, but I think that WE started this crisis, because we did not hold back in our wishes to own things in a consumer society and we borrowed money from the banks to obtain them. I can say that here, in Barcelona, the crisis is no worse than in other cities in Spain. I know this because I have lived in Comunitat Valenciana.

What do teenagers spend their money on?
By Génesis Mendoza

Teenagers between 12 and 19 years spend 155 euros monthly on average to buy things on a whim. They spend this money on clothes (26 €), food (24 €), and technologies (20€), but they never spend it on essential products for themselves.
According to the survey that young people took, called Teens 2010 (of the ‘Creafutur’ Foundation). Teenagers get a weekly allowance lower than 11 euros given by their parents. 66 per cent of teenagers are satisfied with this. This data is the result of 1.200 interviews and 7.400 interactive surveys.
In other countries (E.E.U.U, Brazil, France, United Kingdom, China and Mexico) teenagers buy brand products and technology.
Furthermore, teenagers between 12 and 19 years only share 10 percent of their time with adults, it's a very short time. Their free time is devoted to their friends, surfing the internet and with the Playstation.

How to save money recycling
By kyle Pearson

Here you have some great ideas for recycling and saving money! So you can earn money at the same time that you are saving the earth, or a little part of it, which is enough for just one person. We all have clothes in closets and drawers that we hardly ever wear. Perhaps we've gained a few extra pounds (or lost a few), our children have outgrown last years coats, or whatever the reason. Your first thought might be that you should toss them away and purchase new garments. However, there is something you can do with this clothing: you can sell it on EBay to earn a few extra euros to save. You can sell your mobile phone in a shop like: Cash Converters, Cex, or a phone shop that buys them, also you can sell it by internet like: EBay, segundamano.es...Use teabags more than once, then put them onto your compost heap. This saves money, creates no waste and helps your garden to grow.Save paper bags from the grocery store and use them to wrap parcel packages. That brown paper costs a great deal when you buy it in a roll.Every time you go to print, ask yourself if you really need a hard copy. Most of the time the answer will be no. Start by making an effort to edit and proof your documents on the computer. If you have to buy a new cartridge you can go to a shop were they recycle them, and there they cost less money that if you buy them new.In nearly all the neighbourhoods of the city there are markets were you can go and sell or exchange all the old things that you have at home.An example is the market of Sant Antoni were on the Sunday you can go there and sell or exchange videogames
